The ordinary gets a future.

An ordinary object becomes a museum artifact from 2126.

Students choose something within reach, add a picture or sketch, and write a museum label. I love the question at the center of this activity. What might a future human notice, misunderstand, or find extraordinary about something we use today?

How to use this:

Open the gallery.

Ask students to choose an object they can access immediately, such as a charging cable, key card, or water bottle.

  • They add a photo, screenshot, or sketch and complete the museum label’s four parts.

  • Open a quiet gallery. Each visitor leaves one response beginning “I never noticed...” so students can see what caught someone else’s attention.
